It was a heavenly stay after my Fuji-san summit climb. My room was very clean, toilet is furnished with ample amenities. The lobby has very helpful and accommodating customer service officers, always giving suggestions & also helped with Yamato service which is offered by the hotel. The ground floor has a coin laundromat, ice machine, microwave, disposable utensils, and all the miscellaneous amenities a guest could help themselves with, especially when going to the bath house. Location is fantastic, with 24-hr MaxValu, a Daiso, a Uniqlo, and Tomei Gotemba which connects you to many parts of Japan by bus. I enjoyed my stay so much and always looked forward to view of unobstructed Fuji-san from the hotel.

A good place for a mid-term stay (3-5 days) and a good base to go mount fuji. The room was quite spacious and clean. I can recomment the sento after a long day to chill a little bit. You can even get a Japanese "pyjama" to chill in the hotel. And the breakfast menu is delicious with lots of choice - japanese and western things. The great thing was the free udon soup in the evening (maybe was a summer special).

A nice well presented hotel, with a viewing deck of Mount Fuji. Just over 1 Km from Station (1000 Yen taxi). 20 minute walk to the amazing international Peace Buddhist Temple with spectacular views of Mount Fuji. There are male and female Onsons included in the Tarrif and breakfast is only an extra 760YEN each. Shop and convenience stores close by.

Pretty much everything, you can tell the hotel is fairly new. I got a good size room, good size bed (I'm 6'4"), quiet, and clean, if you book a room near the terrace you can even get a view of the Fuji if you are lucky. I stayed in July so the AC was a lifesaver (you are not allowed to open the windows for safety reasons). I climbed Mt. Fuji so I wanted a nice place to take a shower and rest afterward (unfortunately, I couldn't manage to enjoy the public baths). Also, they have a little room with washing and driers coin machines that were super helpful after the climb, so you don't have to pack your sweaty and dusty clothes again. If you are traveling light, Gotemba Station is a 15-20 minutes walk

The staff at Hotel KAN-RAKU were extremely helpful and patient with us, our questions and assistance in shipping our luggage. The onsen was very relaxing and well kept. Them giving us an included dinner (during the summer) was a big plus. Succulent udon noodle ramen, yummy! The view of Mt. Fuji from the terrace in the morning caught us off guard, astonishing! 🗻

We were a family of 5 people and allocated 3 rooms (2+2+1). I requested all rooms to be on the same floor and preferably close to each other and we were given just that, rooms next door to each other and all on the 1st floor which was hugely appreciated given we had lots of luggage. There is a public bath that we never got the chance to use but very convenient especially in winter. Our rooms were of good size and free parking on site was a huge bonus. Easy check-in and check-out. Good location in Gotemba, close to Aeon Max Valu, Daiso and Uniqlo and restaurants nearby. Reasonably comfortable stay, good value for money. Microwave and free amenities in the reception area also really convenient. Chrck/

Good size room, free parking on site. The public bath was clean. Breakfast was respectable. There is a grocery store and a ¥100 shop across the street. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel are amazing.

The hotel was quite modern and neat for a “provincial” hotel. The room was spacious and clean. There was also an Onsen-like public bath and a rich breakfast buffer, which started also early: Ideal for a good start into a long hiking day if you want to climb Mt. Fuji from Gotemba

Loved that they served really yummy summer cold Sesame noodles for their guests for free. Such a lovely surprise. They also have lots of free amenities and a cute summer wear u can use around the hotel. Laundry was conveniently located at level 1, just need to prep 100 yen coins.
